Your eyes are currently feasting on what I believe to be the ultimate girlie outfit.

An outfit positively destined for my inevitable date with Derek Jeter.

He might even become so overwhelmed with the simple sight of me that he might propose marriage to me right there in the helicopter he picked me up in.

Running Errands in the Fall

In my mind's eye this outfit says, "Not only do I look adorable, but I'm also a lot warmer than you are."

And I mean, who doesn't want their clothing to say that?

Ah, the possibilities

It's almost the weekend;

the glorious, wonderful weekend.

I don't know anyone who doesn't love those two little days off.

I mean, I suppose if you really, really loved work and didn't want it to end you'd be against weekends.

That's a little hard to imagine though.

One of the radio stations by me plays a "Nineties at Noon" hour showcasing both the musical hits and, let's be honest, many misses of the nineties generation.

Naturally, I'm a fan because they play all the original boybands.

But the boybands are like the collector pogs of that time.

Everyone remembers them and associates them with the '90s.

But what about the pour-your-heart-out ballads and poppy dance songs from all the lovely women of the decade?
What about the songs that make you wonder, "Where have all the cowboys gone?" and is that Bill or Ted in that music video?

The other day I had a very real spider scare.

Not only did it crawl on my bed, it was also on my bathroom towel.

Naturally, after escaping something so disastrous with my life still intact, I have some things to be thankful for.

Here are five things that I am absolutely loving (and happy to be able to experience) this week:

Okay, you can just go ahead and admit it.

Isn't this the greatest top for a cereal box?

I mean, who doesn't like a nice, little "top of the mornin'" now and then?

Agreed....noone. I'm happy we had this talk.

Falling in Love with Fall

The beginning of October marks it for me.

We are officially in the fall season.

Shoot, the holidays are practically around the corner!

The change of seasons has this summer girl scrambling to accept the increasingly shorter, colder days.

I think I will be fine though once I get my winter wardrobe fully equipped and pumpkin flavoring starts being added freely into any kitchen creation possible.

That's just a guess though.

Who Thought This Was A Good Idea??

As exercise-allergic as I am, I should have known to avoid anything with an instructor that looks like Chuck Norris' body double and anything with words like "Steel", "Ultimate", "Boot Camp" or "Meltdown" in the title.

I will remember this when I randomly get the crazy urge to get "Buns of Steel" again.

After I put up that lovely little post about being confident about your future and not giving into irrational fears, I felt a renewed sense of optimism. Everything is going to work out, I reasoned. I don't need to worry about my application not being responded to, I just need to distract myself with something else.

So, what do I pick as my distraction?

Keeping the Faith- Post-Grad Style

So, I'm currently in that rather awful position of being a post-grad, scouring job sites for any gig that is both reputable and will take me, and battling every Suzie, Timmy and Bob for that coveted intern spot.

It's got me wondering, how do you keep yourself confident that things will turn out?

And no, I'm not talking about that charming romantic comedy with Ben Stiller and Edward Norton. Although, that is quite a treat.

Simple Pleasures: Family Dinner

Nothing ever makes me quite as happy as when some family members come back into town.

Not only does it give us the perfect excuse to have a delicious dinner, it also provides the opportunity to recount all of each other's embarrassing stories to whichever significant other happens to be present at the time.
