Okay, you can just go ahead and admit it.
Isn't this the greatest top for a cereal box?
I mean, who doesn't like a nice, little "top of the mornin'" now and then?
Agreed....noone. I'm happy we had this talk.
First, let me just go ahead and state for the record that I think TV is really making an admirable effort with this season's shows.
That's really saying something too because I don't really consider myself a big watcher.
I mean, my dad is more on the pulse of popular culture. He watches Homeland for one thing, and I hadn't even heard of it before it cleaned up at the Emmy's.
The times they are a changing.
So, in contradiction to my statement of being out-of-touch with what's popular, I am going to provide you with a roundup of the shows I'm excited for/interested in this season.
I won't be offended if after you read them you decide they will be canceled. That tends to happen a lot to me, so I no longer take it personally. Although I do grieve the loss of the show longer than is probably necessary.
Anywho, here's that roundup:
CBS
In another surprising twist, there are actually new shows on CBS that have picqued my interest. I feel very mature saying that.

The only show I am up-to-date on, which already says a lot.
Now, I will fully admit that my slight obsession with all things mobster is what initially got my attracted to this show.
Two episodes in, I would say that that obsession is still quite content.
But, what I did not expect was to get so attached to the law side of the show.
Quaid and his rancher family are so rough and tumble that you can't help but root for them.
I don't know if this is how the rest of the season will go, but the first two episodes dealt with a murder investigation which is always a good time in my book.
Needless to say, I eagerly await tonight's episode which I will subsequently record and enjoy on my day off.
Elementary
A Sherlock Holmes adaptation with Lucy Liu as Watson.
How could that not be entirely enjoyable?
Well don't ponder too hard on that question because it already is.
I've only seen the first episode thus far and I will admit, I had my doubts.
I'm as much of a Sherlock purist as the next girl, but this version is good.
Sherlock is quirky brilliant, standoffish and in his own world. Not to mention he has the perfect dreamboat accent, always a plus in my book.
Liu as Watson, I think, is great. She's smart, observant and stands up to Sherlock when he's being a royal donkey head (if you know what I mean).
I hope this one does well because I really am quite fond of it already.

I will be one hundred percent honest with you, I don't have a lot to go off of with this show.
All I know is, I want to give it a go.
I think it could be quite entertaining.
I'm a sucker for gossip-fueled drama and I feel this show has that.
A lot of back-stabbing, false flattery and sleeping around.
Like I said, I think it could be good.
Not to mention I just found out it's by the screenwriter of Thelma and Louise!
Definitely sign me up.
Debuts tomorrow, Oct. 10.
CW
Beauty and the Beast
Again, I don't really know anything about this show except that it premieres right after Vampire Diaries on CW, therefore I know I will end up watching.
Lucky for me, there is a soft spot in my heart for this ntework's shows. Also, I would like to just point out that the man playing the Beast looks rather gorgeous.
I can't confirm that yet though.
I guess I will just have to watch to see.
Oh, well.
So, there you have it.
That is my roundup of all shows I hope to, but likely will not see this season.
I'm excited about the possibilities.
Hopefully none of them are canceled before I get the opportunity to watch.
Fingers crossed!
Are there any shows you are looking forward to this season?
I won't mock them if you don't mock mine. Promise.
Happy TV watching!
