Addendum: Today is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day! No joke! Celebrate with this fantastic sandwich; fate demands it.

I am quite excited about this post because I have a new dish that I've recently added to my repertoire to share with you. This means I have a third dish to sandwich between my salad/pasta rotation! Big news folks, big news.

Ladies and gentlemen might I introduce you to: Grilled Cheese with Apple and Ham
Now tell me, does not look absolutely scrumptious?

So I stumbled upon this tasty concoction when I was looking for recipes using leftover ham. You see, the roommates and I made ham for Easter and were left with plateful left, so I simply had to use it for something. That is where this little nugget comes in.

Here is the recipe. It's from Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals and as near as I can gather, the episode was dedicated to mixing-up traditional grilled cheese. You really don't need a recipe though, it is extremely easy. I mean, I was able to do it. That should tell you something. Anyway, you just make a regular grilled cheese sandwich, except you stick thinly sliced apple and ham in with the cheese.
It is excellent. I think I'm even planning on having it tonight for dinner. By the way, that would make it the third night in a row that I've had it, in case you were wondering. Clearly, you can tell that I am a bit crazy about it. But really, if you are a fan of apple, ham and cheese, I highly suggest you give this a test-try sometime. Then, you can write back here and we can either have a delightful chat about how much we love it, or you can tell me to get my tastebuds checked. Either way, it should be enjoyable.
