That's right dear readers, faced with glaring truth that my friends abandoned me for colder climes
I realized I had to get myself some hobbies. Oh and got them I have! (Sidenote: I know they didn't actually abandon me, but it creates the drama I'm looking for so I took some liberties).

A girl can only go to Forever 21 so often before the employees start asking, "Your regular dressing room today, Ms. Brittany?"
Bear in mind, things didn't actually progress to that level, but I did feel it was necessary to nip it in the bud.
Besides, I also used up the last of my gift card and I knew that would only spell destruction.
So I made my way down to JoAnnes, the mecca of all things glittered, glued and stitched, and bought out the store.
Top of the list: Knitting
I bought a learn to knit kit and am undergoing probably my 20th attempt at learning to knit.
This time feels right though.
It started out simple enough until we got to the first direction: Pull string from center of ball
Things got a bit tangled---literally.
But one short hour later and I was back on my way.
Until I encountered the next step---the slip knot.
But another short half hour later, I was really making progress
I'm actually very excited!
It might not seem like it, but this is going so much better than the other 19 attempts.
Now, I just have to learn the purl stitch and I will be on my way to makin hand-knit mittens, scarves, beanies, vests and everything under the rainbow.
I can hear Knitting Weekly calling now.
Now, to embellish my hand-knit creations, I picked up this little gem at Barnes and Noble.
Careful! Your jealousy is burning through my screen!
Just wait.
By next winter I'll have mittens with adorable woodland creatures stitched on them.
If you're lucky you might get one for Christmas. Maybe.
Finally, I picked up some scrapbook stuff.
Now, this is really my bread and butter.
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm quite the collage artist.
This is nifty too because it's a journal that you are meant to paste things in and decorate and everything.
I usually do that to regular journals, but the spines break or pages fall out, but this is sturdy enough to hold up. I'm very happy with this purchase!
So, there you have it.
You are looking at a bonafide hobby-machine.
I'm gonna be hangin out with all my handicrafts and everyone will be like:
Who's that chick? (In case you don't care to watch the video)
Love and handicrafts to all!
xoxoxoxo
